The two best things were the helpful servers at the main restaurant and poolside café, and the bar with its dance floor. The fridge and TV worked, and my balcony had a great view of the nearby square. The Wi-Fi, though, was horrible, and the rooms need renovation. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s in a very good location, but the property feels dated and poorly maintained. The reception area is the only part kept up well. There’s no porter, the lock didn’t work properly, the shower pressure was poor, toiletries weren’t refilled even after I asked, and the lighting made the rooms gloomy at night. My new HnM sweatshirt, still with its tag, went missing from my room. Nobody at the hotel, including housekeeping and reception, took responsibility. I’ve stayed at hotels across many countries over the years and never had this kind of bizarre experience. One afternoon while I was sleeping, someone from housekeeping unlocked the door from outside and came in to put towels in the washroom. A colleague in another room had the same experiences.

Nine of us were trapped in a lift for over 15 minutes. Some people were hyperventilating, others crying, and we felt panicked and helpless. It was traumatic, a horrifying experience I’d never had before. The team responsible responded slowly and in a disorganized, frankly negligent way, which made everything worse. This was far more than an inconvenience, it felt like psychological torture. Something needs to change urgently.

The staff were the one good part. The rest felt like a renovation site that hadn't been finished: the bed was terribly uncomfortable, there were no table lamps or bin, and the hot water was only lukewarm when it worked. The locks weren't working when I arrived, the door didn't fit its frame, and the windows wouldn't close. An absolute mess. Avoid this hotel.

Bring earplugs if you're hoping to sleep early over the weekend. There's no WiFi in the rooms, which is a big problem, and the TV choices are limited.
