We had agreed on 12,000 Kenyan shillings per day for September 19-20 and September 22-25, after I booked in July. I wanted to pay an advance and kept asking for the bank details, but they never sent them. Once everything was arranged, they suddenly quoted 23,000 a day instead. I found another place today. This was really unprofessional and embarrassing for the management.

It's budget friendly and could work for a short visit. The hotel is secure and conveniently located near shopping malls and Westlands' business district, with little traffic and a quiet setting. Parking can be tricky because the spaces are tightly squeezed.

The staff were very nice, and the room was good. It doesn't match up to four-star hotels in other parts of the world, though with the situation in Kenya, a four-star rating seems fair. The hotel is tucked into a quiet corner, but commercial facilities are still nearby.

The restaurant was reasonably priced, and the portions were so big that we shouldn't have ordered so many dishes for dinner. Breakfast was good, especially the local coffee, and we could borrow a hair dryer. The service staff were caring, including Belinda and Joyce at reception. It took us about 40 minutes to find the hotel, even with a local guide. Google Maps didn't lead us straight there because it's in a hotel complex or community with a different name. Management should add signs on Lower kabete road pointing to the complex. Also allow for the after-work traffic in that direction, we were stuck for around an hour and a half. We only stayed one night, but I liked it.

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, but I wouldn't stay again. The hot water wasn't working properly, so we had to move to another room. After checkout, my friend's watch was stolen from the luggage we'd left in storage.
