We were welcomed warmly and professionally, and every interaction felt thoughtful. The meals were full of flavour and made with passion. We didn’t meet the Chef, but the cooking was outstanding. Raymond, Maggie, Jennifer, and Elizabeth led a team that deserves recognition for its excellent service. That kind of hospitality is rare, and I’ll definitely return.

For a quiet, chilled-out stay, Olesamara was a lovely little hidden gem, set back from the Nyeri–Nanyuki Highway and offering plenty of peace and privacy. The paths nearby are pleasant and safe for walks, including a scenic route beside the river. Breakfast was delightful, and the location is handy, just a 7-minute drive from the Nanyuki airstrip and near other good food spots. I’d recommend having a car to explore the area comfortably. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

We only stayed one night, but had a wonderful experience. The chef was superb, the views were great, and the fireplace made a lovely setting. Service was warm, and they provided a cot for our toddler when we asked.

The guided walk down to the river was a real highlight. Our guide was patient, knew a lot, and happily answered all our questions. We also loved the heated pool, which was relaxing, well maintained, and never crowded during our stay. The room felt beautiful, clean, and homely, and our meals came on time with generous, filling portions. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. It was raining, and the staff thoughtfully brought umbrellas to help us get from the car to our room. We only had the weekend, but wished we’d planned a longer visit. We’ll definitely be back!
