Maralink Hotel

The server was very sweet, but it took over an hour for the food to arrive, and the food itself wasn’t great. The toilets were horrible, the furniture was old and falling apart, and the towels were so worn they seemed fit for cleaning floors. Rooms near the road get constant traffic noise, and music from the bar next door blares until 4 a.m., so sleep is hard to come by. It’s a very basic place and not the greatest stay. I’d think twice, though I suspect most hotels in this area are similar.

For the same price or just a little more, you can find much better accommodation. Management has a lot to sort out, from the rooms and bedding to the facility as a whole. That’s my honest view.

The receptionist was friendly, and that’s the one star. The security guard and “manager” had no decorum or etiquette, and there was no sense of hospitality. The rooms are basic and functional. If I could give the place zero, I would.

The rooms were okay, but breakfast was awful. The shower only worked halfway, and a bright light just outside my window shone right where the bed was. Someone clearly hadn’t thought that through.
