My stay got off to a bad start because of the receptionist, Irene. When I needed help, she was extremely unhelpful and offered almost no assistance. That was disappointing, since front desk staff shape the whole hotel experience. I hope management addresses it, because I'd expect better hospitality. I can't recommend this hotel right now, maybe until she's gone!!

The lounge is worth recommending, and I really enjoyed the breakfast. The rooms were quite okay and the service was fine. I'd definitely recommend the guest house.

I had a worthwhile meal here, and it's a good place to stop over. The service was quick and responsive, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was great, especially the refreshing, well-brewed tea. I also saw the biggest maandazi ever made by man, see below.

The clean room, excellent housekeeping, and great room service were real positives. There was good packing space, with onsite security, and Calvin at the front desk was terrific. The food was average, though, the TV only had one channel, and one kitchen staff member, John, who was supposedly a Chef, came across as arrogant and showed no regard for customers. Judging by the food, he didn't seem properly trained. I'd maybe return, since Calvin could persuade me, but I probably wouldn't recommend it. It was good value for money, but the kitchen needs a lot of work. Maybe eat elsewhere and stay the night.

This is my go-to in Olkalau because it's affordable and the service is good. The breakfast is wholesome and the food is fresh. The rooms are a little small, but they're clean and very well maintained.
