Paul, the manager, was the highlight for me. He was incredibly welcoming, always went out of his way to keep guests happy, and was the best cook I met in Siaya. The meals were consistently outstanding, and the other staff were extremely kind and friendly. I stayed at Melon Hut for the full two months I was in Siaya for a research project. It felt like a little paradise, with rooms that had everything I needed and a garden that was perfect for relaxing. I had a wonderful time and would recommend Melon Hut to anyone visiting. It's also well placed for exploring the surrounding area.

The garden was a lovely place to unwind, with plants and sofas, and breakfast was included in the price each morning. The manager was so friendly and welcoming, and he cooked us delicious dinner every night. Melon Hut felt like home in Siaya, with nice, clean rooms. I highly recommend staying there.

I was deeply disappointed. The guards at the gate were unreceptive and didn't show us the rooms because they were plucking vegetables. Last year, I referred clients who enjoyed their stay. Please work on the front desk.
