On a sunny morning, you can get a lovely view of Mt Kilimanjaro from the dining restaurant balcony and from the upper rooms with balconies.

Market View Hotel is a great find in Taveta County, close to the lively local market as well as Lake Chala and Tsavo West National Park. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with what you need, and the attentive staff provide excellent service. I’d recommend it.

I’d never been to Taveta town before, and after looking through several guest houses I chose Market View Hotel. I’m glad I did. It was Christmas weekend, so the hotel had lots of people at its entertainment spots, but they kept the noise under control and I still had a quiet night. The staff were helpful and gave great service. Breakfast was lovely with a view of the glaciers of Mt. Kilimanjaro, though the weather needs to be right to see them. My stay was one of my most memorable times in Taveta, and I’d stay at Market view again if I return.

There’s a bar and restaurant downstairs, plus a liquor shop on the ground floor, which is handy. The rooms upstairs have great views.
