The location is convenient, close to fast food places and other services. Many of the rooms are spacious B&Bs, but they aren’t maintained very well. Shuhan Hotel is in Thika, behind Tuskys Chania, and has around 70 rooms in five categories, from Standard to Executive. The rooms have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. There are two restaurants serving local and international dishes, a bar, and a complimentary continental breakfast each day. For meetings and events, it has five conference rooms. It’s in the Thika Central Business District, near malls, banks, and medical facilities, with Thika Municipal Stadium and Christina Wangari Gardens among the nearby sights. Other facilities include free parking, laundry, luggage storage, concierge service, and a 24-hour front desk.

The room service was amazing, and everything was very clean. The staff were polite, the customer service was great, and the food was wonderful.

I stayed two nights and would visit again. The location offers good value for money, and the secure basement parking was reassuring. The spacious, well ventilated rooms looked clean, and the corridors were wide and clean too. I liked the lift. Restaurant and room service were quick and nice, and the chef kindly made sure I had an early breakfast when I had to leave early. The room lighting was dim, though, which could make it hard to work at night or early in the morning.
