The portions are generous, so be ready for a lot on your plate. Prices are easy on the pocket, and the staff are friendly. It's a building in Thika with one of the best food spots in town. The food is great, and it's a good change if you're tired of the usual pizza and chips.

There's a good coffee spot here, and the basement bar is quiet and uncrowded, with legitimate rather than counterfeit alcohol and a decent pool table. There's also a casino on the second floor. The hotel has only a small selection of prepared food, and the gym isn't well equipped. Parking gets congested during the day and costs extra. Food is expensive by Kenyan standards without being especially good quality.

We were a little inconvenienced when we needed a projector for the conference, since they had to source one from outside and seemed not to have one available. Otherwise, the conference facilities are good, and it's a nice place with good food.

I stayed one night and was charged 6,400/- on my Visa instead of 5,700/-. I see this mishandling as equivalent to theft. When I complained, a manager told me to go to the police. I've sent an email and am waiting for a reply. If nobody responds, I'll escalate the matter. I can safely say I'll keep away from this hotel.

Renovations are still underway, but once they're finished, I think this place could become an unbelievable hotel in the next few months. The interiors and service are already more than you might expect. I love it and will keep checking in whenever I'm around Thika.
