Barracuda Inn Resort

There's a lot of space, but very little on offer, and this barely feels like a resort. The rooms are minimal and not very clean, with almost no entertainment. Enjoying the beach is difficult because the beach boys are so persistent and stressful. They're constantly asking for money, even when you're on the all-inclusive plan. You even have to pay for water.

The room was spotless, nicely designed, and had little touches that made it comfortable. From check-in through room service, everyone treated us with kindness and professionalism. We felt looked after as soon as we arrived. I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

William and Jackson were the exceptions here. They were consistently capable, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The rest of the experience was deeply upsetting. As a woman traveling alone, I invited a male friend for lunch, and the receptionist made an insulting suggestion about me being a sex worker and assumed I couldn’t pay for his meal. His attitude changed after I exchanged my Euros, which felt discriminatory and completely unacceptable. The rooms are basic, and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Because of the way I was treated, I told friends who planned to join me to book somewhere else. I can’t recommend this place, and I’d advise other women to choose different accommodation.

We had a great safari arranged through the resort by East Africa Safari, and after our long flight from the US, the hotel was a lovely place to stay.
