Kara-Bulak Eco Resort

The mountain scenery was beautiful. I went on the Panoramic horse ride and was amazed by the mountains. There were other activities to choose from depending on what you’re interested in. For someone who loves mountains like me, this place was a great fit. The staff and manager were amazing, and even though most people don’t speak English, Google Translate worked like magic throughout my stay and everything worked out well. For food, expect the mains to take 30-40 minutes. You can’t order a main that needs to be cooked properly and expect it to arrive like fast food. Despite the negative comments, people see things differently. I had a great time and would definitely compliment the place.

The setting is beautiful and pleasant, with activities to do and a restaurant with a bar. The restaurant closes at 10 pm. Noura, the receptionist, was the best employee there, very friendly and helpful, and she really went above and beyond for guests. I’m not sure if I have her name spelled right. The man who showed us to the sauna was very rude. He asked people random questions, including whether they were gay or straight, and kept giving us strange looks. It made us extremely uncomfortable, and we left after maybe 20 minutes.

The little resort is beautiful, and both the rooms and location were very nice. The trouble started with the room: its WiFi didn’t work. At check-in we were told we could move to a room with working WiFi after one night, but the next day the receptionist said everything was full, so we had to stay put. There’s also a glass panel in the ceiling right above the bed, which had us waking up automatically at 5:30. The restaurant was the worst part. None of the staff spoke English, and they even struggled to understand when we pointed to dishes on the menu. Nearly every meal came with something missing, and on a couple of occasions we waited an hour and a half for our order. One day we eventually cancelled and went without breakfast. The food itself was great, but be ready for a long wait.

Really phenomenal. It’s hard to explain just how incredibly cool this place is. I really appreciated all the natural materials used in the buildings. The food was good, the service was even better, and the whole thing felt like a five-star experience.
