Camelot Hotel

Breakfast was just two slices of bread, two thin cucumber slices, and one slice of sausage. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise lovely trip. I hope management takes this seriously and treats guests more honestly, consistently, and respectfully. The last day became stressful when we returned around 10:00 PM. We started packing and changing our baby, then staff confronted us unexpectedly. We’d booked four rooms for two nights, not one, despite what staff later claimed. The hotel team, including management, had told us checkout was at 12:00 AM (midnight) and suggested keeping all our luggage in one room until we left. We accepted and had explained that we planned to explore the outskirts of Bishkek, then come back late to freshen up before heading to the airport. If those last few hours in one room weren’t allowed, why offer and agree to it? We had politely turned down the hotel’s $100 airport taxi and booked a Yandex ride for $23 instead. Maybe that was connected to the sudden change in how we were treated, maybe it wasn’t, but the difference in service before and after was stark. We came to relax, not deal with unprofessional behavior and last-minute hostility. We were rushing to catch our flight, so didn’t take it further. If we hadn’t been in a hurry, calling the police would have been a reasonable next step. The customer service was very bad. Staff got angry and used bad words in their own language. Pathetic hotel!

There’s a secure courtyard, and the hotel is fairly close to Bishkek center, about a 40-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are basic. Some have air conditioning and some only have fans, worth knowing if you’re visiting in summer.

It has a warm, cozy feel, and the friendly staff are always ready to help tourists with whatever they need.

I’d like to stay here again. The hotel is nice, the room was really good, and the staff were helpful and provided everything for us. It’s very close to the city. The receptionist arranged a good taxi to the airport for me, and I appreciate all the staff. God bless them.
