The room was good, and breakfast was tasty even though there wasn’t a huge selection. The bathroom layout was the one flaw, with the sink cramped right beside the toilet. I didn’t care for this part of town for walking around. Having a car would make that less of an issue. I stayed mainly because Asian mall was an easy walk away, though the mall itself isn’t anything special. It does have a food court with a few decent places to eat, and there’s a Korean restaurant next door.

I came back to Bishkek and stayed at the Onyx hotel again. The rooms have been refurbished and now feel bright and clean, and the breakfast room has improved too, making the whole experience more pleasant. I only wish I’d had more than two nights. Looking forward to coming back.

The staff were friendly, and I really liked the breakfast, with its good range of food. Still, there were some issues during our stay. Strange noises came from the ceiling, probably mice moving around between the second-floor ceiling and the third-floor floor. The internet worked the first night, then stopped the next day. Maybe the hotel hadn’t paid for the service on time. Luckily, my local SIM had data, which helped.

What mattered most to me here was the staff, cleanliness, and food. The staff know their work and handle it professionally, which made the stay really enjoyable. If those are the things you’re looking for in a hotel, I’d strongly recommend this place.

The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast starts a bit late, though. I wish I could get something to eat from 7 o’clock.
