Sky Hotel

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean. It's a good location close to the city's main attractions, and we had a great stay. The woman at reception didn't speak English, but Google Translate made it easy to communicate. One night, either other guests or staff were talking very loudly outside around midnight, which made it hard to sleep.

We arrived in the evening and the receptionist said our room had already been rented because it was after 6 pm. She offered us a more expensive room instead. We had made the reservation around 7 pm. It felt like a way to scam tourists who are stuck without anywhere to sleep at night. If the hotel was really overbooked, they should have cancelled the reservation or given us a free room at the price we had agreed on. In short, they seemed to be trying to scam us by asking for extra money for a room.

A friendly staff, clean premises, free wifi, and a private bathroom made this a very good budget hotel. It's basically in the city center, with good public transport links. The Buffet is very close and is an amazing budget-friendly place to eat. The photos are of a slightly pricier private room at 2000 SOM per night. Standard rooms are 1500 SOM. For this price range, you won't find a better choice in this area.

The room was clean and very good, if a little small, and the location was good. But when we paid, the clerk didn't give us our change back.
