We spent three nights at Zaton Guesthouse and were extremely happy with everything. It’s family-run, and the hosts are so welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with doors opening onto a lovely garden. Breakfast changes daily, so it never gets boring. A big thanks to the owners for arranging our half-day trip to Grigorievka Gorge and Semenovskoye Gorge. It was a fantastic itinerary. They also let us use the washing machine, which helped a lot. The park and beach behind the hotel are just a five-minute walk away. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was plentiful and included, and most of the food was prepared just as we sat down to eat. There’s parking outside, and you can pay by cash or card. The guesthouse is close to the main street, with places to eat and mini markets. We had trouble finding it at first because there were no signs at all, but after that we had a nice stay. The balcony view of the autumn leaves was beautiful. We enjoyed talking with the parents, despite their limited English, and their son was very helpful translating everything. They also gave us contacts for our onward trips.

The guesthouse is right beside a park leading to lake Issykul, and it’s easy to get to the rest of the village. The owners are happy to help, and they’re incredibly friendly, with useful advice and contacts for activities in Cholpon Ata. The rooms are clean and have a mini fridge, TV, and controllable air conditioning and heat. Amazing guesthouse!

I stayed here in the second week of February. The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was served fresh. They also brought us fresh apples from their garden. The guys could speak English.
