Hotel Kaganat Boutique Hotel

They gave us a really kind welcome, even arranging an airport shuttle at the last minute in the early hours. The staff were quick to respond, supportive, and shared helpful local tips. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and efficient. We really appreciated that easy start to our stay.

The staff were so friendly and ready to help with anything I needed. I also had an immaculate room, a great shower, and a very good breakfast. The location was excellent, too. I’d gladly recommend this boutique hotel.

After nine days on the Pamir Highway tour, Kaganat was a welcome break. It’s a three-star place with friendly, Western-style service, including an English-speaking staff member. The location is handy for banks, food, and convenience stores, and booking directly was cheaper for me: £39.44-£44 instead of £46 or more through Booking.com. Breakfast came with either booking and had a decent range of Western options, fresh and dried fruit, nuts, samsa, and butter. The frittata on my second morning had meat, booo. My room was quiet, well soundproofed, very clean, and had a comfortable bed, strong shower pressure, good AC, and a wide-screen TV I could connect to Netflix or Prime. WiFi was excellent for work and uploading social media in room 101, though it faltered a bit in room 103. There were sockets on both sides of the bed, plus standalone plug-ins. I’d add an extra pillow for the single room and a duvet, since the AC can make it chilly.

The location worked well for me, with my favorite coffee shop and some good restaurants within walking distance. This newly opened hotel, just last week, was very neat and clean, with all the basic amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Abdul (Abo) made sure I had what I needed.
