We were grateful that Azamat's yurt camp stayed open in October, despite the cold, snow, and other camps closing. Azamat and his team made us feel at home, helped with whatever we needed, and created such a friendly atmosphere. Our yurt was clean, warm, and cozy through the night, with good heating. The meals were plentiful and delicious, made with fresh local ingredients and traditional recipes. The lake views, broad mountain scenery, and fresh air made the stay unforgettable. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. We'd love to return and recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Kyrgyzstan's natural beauty and mountain life.

The camp is right by the lake, and they offer horse riding that's well worth the extra cost. We arrived in hot sunshine in mid-September, then woke to snow the next morning, so be ready for changing weather. There are dogs and cats around; the dogs are well trained and seemed to know not to enter the yurts. When we lost our O! signal, the owner immediately offered her phone's hotspot. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English, which helped a lot. Our yurt was clean and cozy, the shared toilets spotless, and the food delicious. They even lit the stove at night to keep the yurt warm. Fill up with petrol before crossing the pass, as there are no stations near the Song-Kul area.

They offer horse rides by the hour: 1 hour for 1500som, 2 hours for 2500som, or 3 hours for 3500som. I'd definitely pick three hours, since the ride goes up to a hilltop with amazing views. The hosts speak great English and make you feel welcome. This camp sits farther from the others, so it feels quieter and more private. Of the yurts we've stayed in around Kyrgyzstan, these were the best: comfortable beds, plenty of blankets, a stove for heat, and pretty decorations. The food was decent. Definitely recommended!

Dinner and breakfast were both tasty and filling, and the warm, refreshing shower in the morning was much appreciated before we got back on the road. We also took a peaceful walk to the lake in the morning for those stunning views, and went on a sunset horseback ride that felt magical. It got really cold at night, even in July, but the staff kept the yurt warm and we slept well. Such a unique, memorable stay in nature.

The food at this yurt camp was schalps ( it’s really good), served hot and fresh. Our bed was comfy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in early October while it was snowing, and it got really, really cold, so pack warm clothes for the night. The WC was clean and proper.
