Guest House KAGAN

After a long trip, it was easy to get some rest in the cool room and comfortable bed. I also appreciated the secure parking, the friendly, helpful hosts, and the nice breakfast. The apricot jam was my favorite!

They've renovated the restrooms, which was a nice touch. It’s a perfect spot to get a feel for nomadic hospitality in this beautiful country.

The owner’s family were friendly, and the young man spoke English. We ate well too, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Coffee powder, tea, and hot drinking water were available all day. Our double room with an ensuite bathroom cost 1,000 som per person with breakfast included. Dinner was optional at 450 som per person. The room seemed newly renovated, was clean, and had enough space. There was no AC, but the shower had hot water and decent pressure. Wifi worked in the dining area, though not in our room. The marshrutka stand for our ride to Bishkek the next morning was just 800 meters from the guest house.

The car from Kagan was pretty good for the fair price, and they handled the permits and the rest of the arrangements. A couple of times I wished they'd been more helpful, but I didn't have anything else to complain about. I'd rent from them again when I return to Kyrgyzstan.
