Hotel Elestet Issyk Kul

The lake and mountain scenery around Elestet Issyk-Kul Yurt Camp is stunning. That was the one bright spot in a stay that left me really disappointed. Inside, the yurts felt cramped and uncomfortable. The beds were small and hard, which made sleeping difficult, especially with a small child. Things also seemed fragile and poorly maintained: the shower door broke when we went in, and while the maintenance guy was fixing it, the handle broke in his hand. For what they charge, I expected basic comfort. When we had questions or problems, there was nobody to turn to, and the camp felt deserted and disorganized. Breakfast was meager, with one egg, a tiny muffin, a small bowl of porridge, and one sausage. It felt stingy for such an expensive camp. The staff weren't friendly, and it came across as if they were doing us a favor by letting us stay. The overall service made guests seem like an inconvenience, and it felt as if management didn't care about comfort, hospitality, or value for money. It's a shame that things are handled so poorly in such beautiful surroundings. The scenic photos don't tell the whole story. The location and nature are lovely, but the rooms, comfort, service, and stay as a whole were a letdown. I wanted peace and relaxation by the lake, and would look elsewhere for that.

The scenery is amazing, and the rooms were comfortable. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. It's a nice idea, but the value for money leaves a lot to be desired. They should do more to let guests know about the activities.

The beach view is amazing. I toured the place and thought it was very nice and high quality. It can host 40-50 people, with a choice of yurts or solid yurts that have bathrooms and showers.

They welcomed us warmly and served dinner right there, which we loved. The place was very comfortable, and they gave us an extra heater to keep warm during our winter trip. The views were awesome too.
