The best part of our trip so far has been these two nights at Batcave Homestay. Our bungalow was authentic, clean, comfortable, and had a lovely spot to relax out front. Saro and his family made the stay special. His wife cooked us lovely meals both days, and Saro arranged everything: pickup from town when we arrived, settling us into the accommodation, and a local guided tour. He clearly knew the area and was proud and enthusiastic about his culture. The next day he organized a full-day tuk tuk tour. Before we left, he also arranged our bus back to the capital and a tuk tuk to the bus station. A comfortable, clean place full of culture. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this homestay. Perfect.

Our tent over the pond was really cute, and Saro had it set up nicely. I had a lovely stay with him and his family. We enjoyed the meals his wife made, and the temple and bat tour with Saro was great. He knew a lot and took us to a less-known spot to see the exodus.

We loved staying here, and the room was comfortable with great facilities. The family spends time together in the dining and chill area, which makes the place feel cozy and welcoming. Breakfast is included, with several options to choose from, and dinner there costs just $3 and is delicious. Our tuk-tuk day tour was already arranged with Saro before we arrived. Even though we got in late, we went straight to our room, and the next day we were picked up at the homestay, taken to all the highlights, and brought back. The Batcave is an easy 15-minute walk away. We wanted to take the boat from Battambang to Siem Reap, and Saro sorted that out right away, including transport and tickets, which we paid him directly for. He could have booked a bus instead if we'd wanted. Our alarms didn't go off the next morning, but Saro woke us and had breakfast ready to take onto the boat, so we made it on time. A 10/10 experience. We recommend staying here when visiting Battambang, and liked it much more than staying somewhere in the city.

My tent was very nice, with a ceiling fan, hammock outside, and a little table. Saro and his family were welcoming, helpful, and fun. On my last night, I got invited to a party for Saroβs sister in lawβs birthday. We had a great time! Saro also booked my bus to Siem Reap and a tuktuk to the station, so everything went smoothly and I was well looked after. Thank you!

The place is simple, with no frills, but the hosts and local people were warm, kind, and honest, which made it feel like a real Cambodian π°π experience. I was lucky to be there for a fantastic local party, where everyone was so hospitable and friendly. They asked for another party, so I stayed an extra day. Unforgettable.
