For $4 a night, I got a private room with its own bathroom. The shared dorms at Blue Diamond, The Place, and Social Backpacker cost $3 to $5, so this felt like a great deal. I liked it.

The family were kind and spoke good English, and the lower-floor private room was quiet. The aircon and fan kept it cool, though the WiFi was weak and the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. They didn’t have toilet paper, though I don’t know if that’s always the case. For the price, it was about what I expected.

I couldn’t sleep because it was extremely loud from 2am until 11am. The place was really unclean too. I moved to another guesthouse for the same price and got decent rooms, a mosquito net, and good WiFi.
