Monorom 2 VIP Hotel

The Mekong River view, clean room, working air conditioning, small fridge, and room safe all came at a very affordable price. The hotel is full of beautiful, ornate hardwood carvings. My carved wooden bed is so heavy, probably at least 1,000 pounds, that I couldn’t move it, but it’s still comfortable. The Shine restaurant next door is excellent and affordable, and it’s also a training location for orphans.

The riverside lobby is a nice place to relax, and I enjoyed sitting outside by the water. We paid $12 a night and stayed for a week; the price was reasonable for a clean, spacious room. The staff were really friendly and left drinking water at our doorstep every day. Security was there 24 hours. Cafes and restaurants are within walking distance, including cafe amazon. I’d definitely stay again. Being near the riverside is a great choice when you’re in the city.

The king bed and bedding were exceptional, and there was a nice balcony overlooking the river. My room was very clean, with plenty of hot water and good air conditioning. Monorom VIP is right on the riverwalk, so the location is perfect. I recently stayed here while travelling to Kampong Cham, and I’ll be back next time. A very nice hotel.

My riverfront room was large, clean, and nicely presented, with a modern bathroom. It had no smoke or stale, musty smell, and even a nice ceramic bathtub, which is rare in Cambodia. A single bed room costs $30, while a VIP room with a lounge and writing table is $50. Well recommended.
