Sovann Phum Hotel

$45 for a two-bedroom room is too much. The room and WC smelled bad, and the accessories weren't good. I could accept $20-25, but not this price. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the staff are very accommodating. We rented two rooms next to each other. Someone is always around to help with luggage and guide your vehicle back out onto the road. The AC works great here, a perk for us Americans.

The building, renovation, and room design are new, though the renovation isn't finished yet and the restaurant isn't ready. We booked a big room on arrival for $35 a night without breakfast. The room is nice, but that feels pricey without breakfast, and there's little parking. The Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting and still needs work. The water in the room looks yellowish, so the filter needs upgrading, and the desk service needs to improve its customer service.

The old building at the front was clean and comfortable, and the rate was good. It's a decent hotel. If noise bothers you, ask for a room toward the back, since rooms facing the main road get traffic noise, especially from trucks passing at night.
