Landing Gold by Amatak

The staff were friendly, which is why I'd give it two stars instead of one. The bathroom door stuck, there was no hand soap, and breakfast wasn't a buffet. You have to order a small plate. The location within Siem Reap also isn't ideal.

The staff are doing their best, and the garden inside is nice, but that alone isn't enough for me to recommend the hotel. It needs maintenance soon, or tourists may start staying away. It's quite far from the central part of the city, which isn't a plus here. If you choose the toast at breakfast, the meal is meagre. I didn't try the other options.

The pool, surrounded by greenery, was such a relaxing spot. Breakfast was great too, with a buffet on weekends and a menu to choose from on weekdays. The staff were very welcoming, and the service went beyond what I expected. I didn't take many photos because I was enjoying the moment so much.

The bedrooms were clean and free of mosquitoes, and staff would come clear them out if needed. They were helpful without being as intrusive as staff at some other places in Siem Reap. We were late, but they kindly prepared us something after breakfast had finished so we could head out for our Angkor Wat tour without being hungry. The pool looked very inviting, though it was raining while we were there. We really enjoyed the stay and would come back.
