I stayed two nights in the bigger room. The location, one block from the river, is excellent, but the room was disappointing and I wouldn’t stay again. The furniture is very old, and there’s a strange old-furniture smell, like a room without ventilation. The windows don’t open. There’s just one outlet, in the corner by the bed, so you have to walk across the bed to plug in a phone or laptop. There isn’t a chair, only an old stool. The AC didn’t work well, and I felt hot in the afternoons. Although there’s an elevator for floors 1 and up, the stairs to my first-floor room were so narrow and tight they felt easy to trip on. The shower head was unstable and unset on the wall. A bad experience.

We only stopped in for breakfast and didn’t stay there. The coffee choices were good, including non-dairy options, and the food tasted delicious, though the portions were tiny for the prices. Service was good, and you can pay by card.

Sofia is a kind, nice owner, and the staff are friendly. Good food at reasonable prices. The green parrot and two dogs give the place a cozy feel.

The owner and her family were friendly and helpful, chatting with us and helping book tickets for our next destination. This family-run place has simple rooms with the basics, and the first-floor cafe serves tasty Khmer and Western food for lunch and dinner. There are two cute dogs and a parrot who may become your friend if you offer him a few saltine crackers. A karaoke bar a few doors away plays music at night, though it didn’t bother my friend or me. Something to keep in mind if you’re a very light sleeper.

Excellent location, good breakfast, and an excellent menu at fair prices. The room was small but very clean, with a comfortable bed. I’d stay again, though it could use a bedside reading lamp.
