The Share Phnom Penh Hostel

I liked it enough to extend my stay for a week. It’s comfortable, the staff are really friendly, and I had a great time. Breakfast costs a little more, but it’s tasty and a good start to the day. The location is good, next to the museum and a 10-minute walk from the riverside.

The dorm had six bunks and two ensuite bathrooms. The beds were decent, with curtains, mains power, and a lamp, and the hostel was very clean. It might cost a couple of dollars more than other places, but I thought it was worth it. It’s ideally placed between the riverside and the monuments, away from noisy streets. There’s no breakfast, but plenty of choices one block away, and I loved "Q coffee house". Staff are on duty 24 hours, so coming back late is fine. Downstairs there’s a coffee and ice cream parlour, though it’s expensive at $2.75 per scoop. The staff are really nice, with intermediate English.

This hostel and restaurant is tucked behind the museum, next to the Royal Palace on street 19, on the backside of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are very helpful, and the food is great. Come check the place out for yourself.

Ryza was especially nice, and the staff were friendly. The Share is in easy walking distance of the river, cafes, restaurants, bars, and local street food. It’s a nice place overall, though it could use more cleaning and maintenance.
