Bunwin Boutique Hotel

The hotel feels incredible and private. It's a little outside the city, which could be a plus or a minus depending on what you prefer.

The rooms are nice, the staff friendly, and both the food and service were good. It's also conveniently close to lively Pub Street and a major shopping center.

The grounds are attractive and well kept, and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast server was especially helpful. Rooms are spacious, and they let us park the pedal bikes we rented. But the beds were harder than the Angkor temples, and breakfast was terrible: just three choices, small portions, and they often ran out of ingredients, including yogurt or orange juice for multiple days. There was no WiFi in the rooms despite the listing, no fridge, and the shower leaked at the side with poor pressure. The location was awful for us, quite far out, with poorly lit roads and vicious street dogs. Walking out, we were growled at, barked at, and chased. Loud music played every day from 6 AM to 11 PM, so sleep was limited. We asked early about extending our stay because we had a day tour planned and didn't want the hassle of changing rooms. For three days we were told they needed to check with the manager and couldn't confirm a price. When they finally gave one, it was $13 more than our original booking. We dropped the tour and moved to a hotel a few roads away. We were much happier there, and it was cheaper.

The rooms were wonderful and felt very clean, and breakfast was served to us. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and attentive to what we needed. We also had a private TukTuk Driver. Honestly, I can't think of anything negative about this place. This was the most beautiful hotel stay I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating.
