Okay Guesthouse

The staff were so kind and gave great service! I had my stick coffee every morning, and the kitchen staff brought me a cup of hot water whenever I asked. I also borrowed the master key and scissors from the front desk a few times.

The barking, howling, and fighting dogs kept me awake for much of the night, since my room was beside an alley and the windows didn’t block the sound. I ended up sleep-deprived. I’d ask for a room at the far end of the hotel, ideally above reception, to avoid that problem. With a quiet room, Okay 1 Villa is charming and a place I’d happily return to. I liked the Cambodian decor, reliable internet, rooftop pool and cafe, and the basic breakfast each morning. Staff were fantastic and accommodating, and the room was cleaned to a high standard whenever I wanted. The location is convenient for exploring Siem Reap.

The rooftop pool is a highlight, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with shops and restaurants in walking distance and Angkor Wat a short drive away. It’s about 0.5 km from the city center, and the $15-20 price offers good value. Rooms have traditional Khmer decor and wooden floors, plus AC, a TV, fridge, and coffee and tea facilities. The hotel has a rooftop pool, bar, two restaurants, spa, hair salon, free WiFi and parking, and a 24-hour front desk. It’s a three-star hotel with a comfortable range of amenities, though some facilities feel dated. The elevator can be noisy, and the room lighting could be brighter.

The rooftop bar and pool area is really nice, and the staff are kind. It’s reasonably priced too. I’d definitely stay here again.
