Pacific Hotel & Spa

The bar could be a little quicker making cocktails. They were nice, though, so it wasn't a big deal. We stayed for three nights and had a great time. The staff were lovely and happy to help, and the hotel had everything we needed: a restaurant, bar, big pool, massage parlour, and even a three-piece band playing by the pool in the evening. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water, a separate bath and shower, and fresh towels and toiletries each day.

My four Filipina friends and I stayed here two days ago, and we were made to feel really special, starting with cold drinks when we arrived. The rooms and other amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly, approachable, and accommodating. More power to the management and staff, MABUHAY...

Pacific Hotel was wonderful. Two days ago I had to call to ask for boiled eggs, but on the third day the staff had them ready before I even arrived. The service is top notch, and everyone is so friendly and caring toward guests. I’d give it 10 stars if Google Maps allowed it. God bless the owner and staff of Pacific hotel ❤️

The most unsettling part was checkout day. My wife stepped out to get something, and a room service woman came straight into our room after her without knocking. I thought they didn't need to make the bed or clean until we checked out, and would put fresh sheets in after guests left. The way she barged in made me suspicious that she thought nobody was there. There wasn't much food nearby, and the lobby lounge was pricey. The TV got about 10 antenna channels. The shower drained so slowly we were standing shin deep in dirty water. WiFi was unreliable, the power kept going out, and we found one dead cockroach and three live crickets during our two nights. The live music was horrendous. The AC controls were confusing, blowing cold air or nothing, so each night I had to freeze, switch it off, then turn it back on to keep a comfortable temperature for me and my children. Our beds didn't have the nice curtains shown in the pictures, the pool view was blocked by another building's roof, and room service left us without towels. The rooms also had a poor pool view, and the overall setup didn't match the five-star impression. I don't know how the place got so many good reviews. Maybe “5 stars” is just part of the slogan and nobody actually awarded them that rating, or maybe they bought reviews. I'd check the positive reviewers' history. Edit: Yeap, most of the five-star reviewers are “local guides” or people with only two reviews. I wouldn't come back.
