Siem Reap Center Hotel

The shower was a real problem: its loose head sits around 1.6 m high and the water pressure is so low that I had to hold it in just the right position. I’ve had better setups in hostels and budget bungalows. The staff, though, were attentive and very kind, and the location is convenient. Breakfast has a fruit and bread buffet, plus eggs and fried rice made to order. The coffee next door is much nicer than the instant coffee kept warm here. I don’t mind instant coffee if it’s freshly made, so offering the powder with hot water, like in the room, might work. For the money, the value is fair.

From the bus terminal, the ride to the hotel is free. It sits just beyond the Pub Street area, so restaurants and entertainment are easy to reach without the noise. The rates are competitive, and the whole team works hard to make guests feel looked after. Lina at the front desk is a gem, ready to help with problems or arrange excursions, motorbikes and taxis. Her staff are just as kind and attentive, following her lead to make sure the stay goes well.

The pool was great, and I liked the mango smoothies. The room was fine, just a little dark, but sometimes you win and sometimes you don’t. Lovely staff, and they returned our laundry the same day. You can hire bikes or book a bunch of activities here. It’s a really good hotel in a great location.

The service was five stars, and the hotel helped me sort out all the problems I ran into. Ms. Yi Tola and Zey especially made it feel like home. I’d definitely like to stay here again.
