Sovann Angkor II Hotel

I called before coming to check whether my Pomeranian could stay, and they assured me it was fine. But when I arrived, a tall, thin woman I assumed was the manager told me pets weren't allowed and suggested I leave my dog chained outside. That wasn't acceptable, and her attitude toward pets was appalling. She also wouldn't let the other staff speak. It was Saturday, and almost everywhere else was fully booked, so finding somewhere on short notice was nearly impossible. This was a terrible experience, and I'd strongly advise against staying here.

We ended up taking tuk tuks almost everywhere since there aren't many significant food or entertainment options close enough to walk to. The staff were helpful and nice about anything we needed. The room was roomy and clean, but be ready for very hard beds. Street-facing rooms are noisy too.

The rooms are cozy and pleasant, though pretty basic. Breakfast is quite decent for a hotel this size and price, and the pool at the back is sweet. It's on one of the main streets, with Pub Street and the city center a short walk away.

The pool was convenient and fairly clean, and it's about a 10-minute walk to the center. Our room was clean and nice, and breakfast tasted very good. The view from the breakfast area was beautiful too.
