Jin Bei Palace Hotel

The fish tank is beautiful, and the casino has a very fancy look that reminds me of Singapore or Macau. The staff look nice, though their attitude feels a little off.

Breakfast had a good range of free buffet options, and the room controls were all automatic, from the curtains to the lights. The room itself was nice, and the service was excellent. It definitely felt like a five-star hotel. My only gripe is that the casino only has slots and Baccarat.

The place itself is really nice, and the hotel is amazing, but I found the staff and other guests very rude. Security and staff weren't helpful either. I also didn't feel they were fond of Americans, and there was basically no English spoken.

The good parts were the food and the security getting in. Otherwise, this was awful, and I wouldn't stay here again even if sleeping on the street were the alternative. It looks nice in photos, but the price is way too high for the poor service and broken aircon. The first room was dirty, with soap residue all over the bathroom counter, and even the non-smoking room smelled of smoke. The aircon didn't work. They moved me to an even hotter room, and only after I insisted. In the first room, the lights went out while I was showering, and the curtains opened automatically while I was naked. Construction noise across the street also made what should have been a lovely $55USD massage stressful. Some staff were wonderful, while others were very rude. Maybe it's a good spot if you're into casinos, but anyone just after a nice hotel should look elsewhere.
