Hotel Aura

I spent ten days here in a Luxury Suite on the 10th floor, with a fantastic view over Ansan. The total came to just over $700, though that could vary with the season. I’m grateful my friend from Ansan suggested this area for my first trip to South Korea. Parks, good restaurants, and bars are all an easy walk away, and the locals were friendly. The train station for Seoul or Suwon is under a ten-minute walk. The hotel staff made the stay especially nice. The front desk team was very helpful with all my questions, and room service was friendly when I needed extra towels. They keep a refrigerator full of bottled water in the lobby, which was especially useful in summer. Breakfast was good enough to get the day started, and there are several coffee shops, including a Starbucks, within a five-minute walk. I’d stay here again. The room was clean, and the service was very good.

For the money, I thought this was a very good hotel. Breakfast wasn’t the best, though it was quite decent for this kind of place. The bathroom has a bubbling hot tub, but it didn’t work. There’s also a shower with glass walls, which is nice, and a sauna control panel in the shower cabin that didn’t work either. Overall, I had a good impression.

Room 313 kept flooding, even though they told us it had been fixed. They could move us, but we’d have to wait two hours, and my mom and I had touring plans. Communication with the lobby wasn’t good. After they cleaned the room, though, they did put water, coffee, and tea in the fridge.
