The traditional markets and places to eat nearby were handy, and the staff were friendly. I come to Anseong often for construction work and had worried about finding somewhere to stay, but this place was clean and looked after, so I could relax. They also have a simple breakfast and a laundry room, which works well for business trips.

The owner was welcoming, but for the price I expected better hygiene. The robes in the closet were in a mess, and the drawer beneath the sink was wet and moldy. There was a phone charger in the room, but it didn't work. I'm not sure I'd stay here again.

Getting around from here is easy, and there are plenty of restaurants close by. The location is good, and it doesn't get cold in winter, though the cleanliness could be better.

I couldn't sleep here and ended up paying to move to the motel next door at 3 AM. This place is cheap, but it was so bad that it wasn't worth staying. The place next door wasn't great either, but I thought I was less likely to get sick from smoke or get stabbed arguing there. The cigarette smell was strong enough to remind me of the smoking area in a PC room. I found no raccoon den when I opened the bathroom. It seemed like the lower floor's exhaust fan was connected straight to the upper floor. I called the front desk about the smell and was told they couldn't do anything. When I went to check and asked to change rooms, the owner glared at me like a gangster and said he couldn't smell smoke. I wasn't imagining it, like someone had numbed my sense of smell. ㅡㅡ For clarity, I changed rooms once, not twice, and I asked because of the cigarette smell, not because I changed my mind. The second room smelled better at first, but then the smell started coming from the bathroom, so I asked to move. The owner didn't politely offer to spray deodorizer. He kicked the door open, laughed, came into the bathroom, and asked what it smelled like when there was no smell. I spoke politely throughout. When I asked the person beside me whether they could smell the cigarettes too, the owner took issue with it and said to Sonnam, "Where does that come from?" He called a customer a habitual offender for making a legitimate complaint and said, "Are you really trying to fight me?" I remember him swearing at me with "F*ck?" too. He looked as if he might hit me and talked about whether I was going to call the police. I've never had a service provider threaten a guest's life before, let alone at a motel. I was afraid of getting stabbed, so I gave up and went elsewhere. I left out the rest of the inconveniences. The owner read my post and wrote another review. It's one thing to disagree with a bad review or give a guest a poor rating, but lying about what happened isn't right. The owner said I changed rooms twice and had simply changed my mind. He also can't deny that I couldn't sleep because of the smoke and paid more to leave at 3 AM. If he admits that, he may not apologize, but he could think about improving the business. You can't change the facts by lying in comments. The CEO's comments made it obvious how many people had manipulated their ratings. Tsk tsk... Is deceiving customers your basic mindset? I hope he thinks about what's important.
