People know hot spring water can be good for skin and joints, but I worry about hygiene in a public bath when so many people use it. Here, I stayed in a deluxe room with plenty of space and a large bathtub. Soaking in the hot spring water both evening and morning made it feel like the best place in the world. My family approves, too. Just be careful, the hot spring water is slippery.

The breakfast really stood out. In the room beside the parking lot, from 6:00 to 9:00 there were bananas, bread, milk, Nutella, chocolate jam, peanut butter, strawberry jam, instant noodles, and cereal. I could eat comfortably and watch TV, and the staff didn’t even seem to pay attention to me. There are two convenience stores right out front, and the parking lot is spacious. My husband even complimented the place. We came back to Lagras after visiting Paradise Dogo Hot Springs, and having a room with two beds was great for traveling with our child. My child travels a lot and is picky about the bed, temperature, humidity, lighting, and bathtub. By our standards, this was a 9 out of 10. We don’t usually give a perfect 10, haha, so 9 is top marks. The room was already warm when we arrived, even though it was chilly outside. The bathroom was large and clean, and my son even happily drank all the drinks and water from the fridge, which I usually avoid. The room seemed so well maintained from the start that I trusted it. There was a heater, an air purifier, and lighting that was neither too dim nor too bright. The spacious mattress and bedding felt comfortable right away, with no sagging at all. I’m fussy about bedding, but slept incredibly well. No cigarette smell, and no noise from next door. With a child, I’m always sensitive to motel soundproofing, but I couldn’t hear people in the hall or even the shower in another room. First time that’s happened for me! I really liked how much care seemed to go into everything. I’ll make a point of coming back next time I’m in Seoul. These are the thoughts of a mom with an elementary school-aged child. ^^^

The view is awful. The abandoned building is an eyesore in the surrounding entertainment district, and I wouldn’t bring young children here. It looks like they bought a rotten motel from the 1930s and just covered it with a fancy exterior. The burly valet attendants were friendly, though. Also, avoid the nearby beef head soup restaurant. They rip you off.

The location worked really well for me. The bus terminal and train station are both close enough to walk to, and there’s a traditional market nearby with some good restaurants along the way. I also found the staff friendly and would stay again. Breakfast being included was good value for a place this size, though seating is limited, so it’s best to get there early. Coffee and canned drinks are available too. The room was clean, and having a hot spring bath in it was a real plus. Good value for money.
