Yesan Jaja Hotel

A solid place to stay when you're traveling for work.

I booked through Yeogio-tte with a discount after it got too late while I was traveling nearby. I planned to visit Yesan Market the next day, and I was really pleased with the stay. The room felt about 12 pyeong, roughly 40 square meters, and seemed big enough to spread out six large suitcases. Even the bathroom was roomy, maybe enough for four people to shower at once, though I’m exaggerating a little. Best of all, there was no cigarette smell in the room or hallway. The lounge had bottled water, hard-boiled eggs, and popcorn, and ramen cost just 1,000 won. There was also a large CU convenience store about five minutes away, handy for picking up beer. You could tell the owner pays attention to the little details. The Ace Bed was so comfortable I fell asleep as soon as I lay down, and the basic amenities were all there. Even on a weekday evening, the place was full by 10 PM. I can see why, and I’d be willing to pay 120,000 won for this quality. I especially loved the lack of cigarette smell, haha. I’d come back, and if you’re visiting Yesan Market, this place is worth a stay.

There’s screen golf on the first floor, and you can play for a reasonable price. For a quick breakfast, they offer eggs, sandwiches, ramen, and other things. The owner was kind, and the room, bedding, and bathroom were always clean during my stay.

The staff were friendly, and it seemed they offered a simple breakfast. I’d booked on the way to Yesan Market because the facilities looked clean, but the actual place was a little less clean than the photos. It’s also tucked away in a secluded spot, which was disappointing.
