The rooms were pleasant, though there were some flies and a smell coming from the drain, so I had to keep the bathroom door shut. Outside, the street had a strong sewer smell. The spa and sauna were nice, but they weren’t open around the clock, closing from 10 to 3pm. Staff made an effort at times, though some seemed distracted or bored, maybe still new and learning. It felt typical for this area, neither bad nor great.

The location works well for shopping, and the beach is about a 10-minute walk away. The beds were more comfortable than at other places I’ve stayed.

I won’t be coming back, even though I had a pleasant stay and the price was undeniably very good. The street outside was rough, with lots of rubbish and a frequent sewer smell, though I’ve noticed that kind of thing elsewhere too. We got no cleaning during our 3 nights and 4 days there. The hotel itself is a pretty little Japanese-style place, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a huge TV. I liked the toilet’s heater, fan, and other extras, and the windows had mosquito nets, which was a relief after our previous hotel. There’s also a microwave on the ground floor. The bathtub is huge, but filling it to the right level took ages. We never tried the spa and always missed the evening snack, but the location was excellent.
