The mattress felt like soft cardboard, and the toilet was missing its lid, which seemed unhygienic. The view wasn’t anything special either. But the place is affordable, has free Wi-Fi, and the English-speaking staff were friendly. You get the basics in the room, and the location is great, just a few minutes on foot from the beach and some good restaurants. If you’re okay with a very basic hotel and don’t have OCD, it could work for you.

We liked it enough to stay for a week, and it was great value for the area. The beach and bus stations are just steps away, and our room had a bit of a sea view. It had everything we needed for a short stay. There’s also a free coffee machine and hot tea at reception, and the coffee was incredibly good.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to accommodate us. The beach and Sea Life Aquarium are both an easy walk away. Our room was clean, and the spa-style tub was a fun touch.

The room got so hot that I couldn’t change the temperature, and I ended up getting sick. The bed was very hard, like sleeping on the floor. There was only one small towel, with nothing for hands or hair, and the bath had no plug, so we couldn’t use it.
