Browndot Hotel Hadan

The lobby coffee and ice were nice, and the shower and toilet were spacious, but the room was too cold and sound carried through the walls. I came because the price looked cheap, then found they charged extra for children under 17, contrary to Agoda's description. That needs correcting. I also wish the front desk staff had been a bit friendlier, especially for a hotel.

I arrived a little early and was told to wait until check-in, so I went wandering. Once in the room, I found lots of dust and hair, including in the bathroom. The air conditioner was moldy; I cleaned it, then found the charger was broken and useless. Makes you wonder what the cleaning staff actually clean.

The front desk staff were friendly, but I was stunned by the service from someone who seemed to be a manager. Breakfast was meant to run from 7 to 9, and I arrived at 8. There was almost nothing to eat. I asked for a cup of ramen and was told they were out, then sent away. When the next guest called and asked for what I wanted, they refilled it right away. Nobody checked on me, and when that next guest was told they were out with 30 minutes of breakfast left, there wasn't even an apology. I'd put up with a badly cleaned room, a fishy bathroom smell, a broken toilet lid, and a sink that didn't drain properly. The breakfast and the way my requests were ignored pushed me over the edge. I paid a bit more because it's a chain and thought breakfast would be easier, but another hotel would've been a much better choice. I have no intention of returning. I'm writing this so others can make a wiser choice.

It's a very practical motel, but I've never been in a hotel without hot water before and don't know what to say. The staff kept lying, and in the end I waited until dawn and gave up showering because there still wasn't any hot water.
