Pretty nice.
I wouldn't recommend booking here. I cancelled on December 12th at 3PM for a December 20th stay, with 9 days left, but they claimed it was within 7 days and charged me a 30% fee. How is that 7 days? It was so ridiculous that I reported it to the Korea Consumer Agency. The person handling it was shocked too, and after speaking with the pension staff, the charge was reduced to 10%. This was absurd. I hope other guests don't end up losing money over it.
The room itself is spacious, but the charges and upkeep were a mess. They ask extra per person, charge separately for bedding, and only give one charcoal grill while charging double for extra guests. After our group ate, the dishes were still unwashed. Cleaning looked like a quick glance followed by a sloppy job, then they put up a list of demands and collect a deposit too. I never saw the owner, and it seemed like management wasn't a concern. I only saw a few foreign employees. There's CCTV in the room, which I hadn't seen before. A pretty typical example of the kind of pension people have been criticizing lately.
As soon as I arrive somewhere, I usually wash the cutlery and dishes myself. Here, whether the cleaning had been missed or it was meant to be self-service, even touching them felt unhygienic. I photographed everything right after checking in, just in case they later tried to charge us for it.
The room was fairly spacious and felt clean, as did the bathroom. The building didn't look especially old, and the view over the sea and nearby homes was decent. But it's a bit far from Ilgwang Beach, so getting around isn't great. The bedding wasn't particularly clean, and the temperature control seemed unreliable.
