El Momento Gwangan

The elevators take ages, and the building could use more of them. That's my only complaint. Check-in was easy, the location was great, and the rooms were fantastic, clean, and had a great view. I'd definitely stay again.

The views are amazing, did I mention that? The apartment faces Gwangalli beach and the bridge, with a great view of the daily fireworks and Saturday drone shows at 7pm and 9 pm. I enjoyed the stay and recommend it for comfortable, restful nights while exploring beautiful Busan. There's crockery and cutlery for two, a washing machine, and a kitchenette with a stove, pots and pans. Bring or buy your own laundry capsules. The shower is a bit tight because the door opens inwards, but everything else was great. Remember to separate rubbish from recyclables, as hotels in Korea recycle more than western countries, similar to Japan. Since it's a self-contained unit, you take the rubbish to the basement. Instructions are inside the apartment. Check-in is self check-in, though you can go upstairs to meet them in person. Keep a translating app open, and they're quite helpful.

The location is phenomenal, and all the rooms use digital locks instead of key cards. The room was decent, with an oceanfront view and covered balcony. The balcony's frosted glass came up to chest height, so you couldn't see the ocean from bed, but it didn't bother me much and the stay was still very enjoyable. It could've been a little cleaner. Pretty good, and I'd stay again without hesitation.

This is an apartment rental, not really a hotel. The location and view are positives, though the view is through frosted glass that wasn't shown in the photos. The sheets were covered in yellow stains when I arrived. Reception asked me to send photographic evidence, then changed them a few hours later. The pillows were very flat, and when I asked for another, I was told extra pillows weren't a service they provide. The bed was uncomfortable, with a hot, uncomfortable plastic mattress protector. The bathroom was tiny and dirty, with toothpaste stains all over the walls. Closing the shower door meant pushing myself against the wall to make room, and I doubt someone slightly bigger could manage it. In the evenings, the restaurant downstairs smelled strongly in the corridor and in my 11th-floor room unless I turned on the AC. For what I paid, the quality was terrible. It cost the same as nearby hotels but didn't provide adequate amenities.
