I can’t believe this place is still open, based on the newest reviews. We stayed here 15 years ago, and it was really close to Nampo Dong station. Yongdusan was just a very long staircase away. I miss Busan! Sending this review from PH 🇵🇭

The reception staff were very nice, and the location is good, around a seven-minute walk from the main shopping street. It’s on a hill, though, so luggage will have you sweating. We left early and moved to another hotel that cost less and was much better and newer. The room had no sunlight because it was on a lower floor facing another building. It was very old, smelly, and damp, with mold everywhere. The AC was full of mold too, which seems quite dangerous. Sockets were coming loose from the wall, with wires exposed. The room made us uncomfortable the whole time and really spoiled our Busan stay.
The location is right by the huge mall and seafood market, and the woman at the front was quite nice. We had a Korean speaker with us, so communication was easy. The room was disgusting. Black mold covered it, from the bathtub and toilet paper holder to the ceiling boards, which were gaping and falling apart. The sheets had strange oily stains. I got maybe two hours of sleep because I couldn’t stop thinking about how filthy the room was. We really got what we paid for.
The location is good and the rooms are spacious, but mine was old and not very clean. There was mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom. The Bd didn’t work, and I think the air-condition filters hadn’t been cleaned because a smell came out as soon as I turned it on. The towels were very old, and some had holes.
The staff were incredibly kind and informative, always happy to help with directions or recommendations. It’s convenient for exploring, with a short walk to the subway, bus stops, Gwangbok-ro, and other markets around Nampo-dong. The uphill road back to the hotel is a bit of a workout, though. I had a great three-night stay. The room was surprisingly spacious for the price, the heater kept it cozy, and the smart TV was a nice extra. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet area, which I appreciated. There’s also a lift, so I didn’t need to carry my luggage upstairs. Great value, comfort, and location.
