Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach

Songdo Beach was peaceful, with a good number of cafes and restaurants and no loud beach bars on every corner. The room had a gorgeous view that was lovely to wake up to, and the breakfast buffet offered a fair range of Western and Korean food. Everyone on staff was very nice. I really enjoyed my stay at the Fairfield in Songdo Beach and would come back if I visit Busan again.

Peter at check-in helped me quickly contact another Marriott in South Korea, AC Marriott Gunpo, about a book I may have left there, The Minor Prophets, in The Passion Translation. He even looked up its cover image online to pass along to AC Marriott Gunpo. They couldn’t find it, so I can buy another copy, but Peter and the Gunpo associate still took the time to search because a tired, distracted guest asked. At checkout, Logan Park took the time to find out Peter’s name for me. Thank you to everyone who helped at check-in, check-out, and in the breakfast dining room and kitchen. My stays at both Marriott hotels, in Busan Songdo Beach and Gunpo, felt relaxing and stress-free while still being efficient. I was only at Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach for one day in June 2026, but I felt treated like royalty, as if I were staying longer. Check-in was thoughtful and seamless, the room was airy, spacious, bright, restful, and had a sea view, and checkout was professional. Breakfast was yummy, with Korean, Continental, healthy, and vegan choices. Wi-Fi worked for quick business meetings and virtual calls. The bed and meals were top-notch, and I was very impressed and happy. If you’re reading this and found my forgotten book, treasure it. Maybe you were meant to read it in the season you’re in. Enjoy it, then pass it on.

From Jan 20-23, 2026, we had a fantastic stay. The sea views were stunning, and we saw the sunrise each morning. Our room was spacious and clean, and the coin laundry, microwave, and hotel downstair GS25 store were handy for travelers. The staff were consistently welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Lucy Kang for the warm check-in and Rina Park for helping retrieve a forgotten powerbank. We’ll definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Busan.

The room was super clean, and there are good places to eat nearby, including sashimi and gukbap spots, plus a very convenient convenience store on the first floor. The ocean view is amazing, though the morning sun is strong, so I’d close the blinds before bed. The bathroom’s open-style setup could be uncomfortable for some. I stayed in December and got free parking through my bonvoy elite benefits, but there’s no free breakfast for titanium 🥲. Parking can take a while at peak times. I’d stay here again if I return to Songdo.
