Good ol'days

The location made it easy to get around, with BIFF Square and plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. We loved staying here during our January 2026 honeymoon, and would definitely return on another Busan trip. The hotel sits above a cafe, where guests get free Americano coupons. It opens a little late, but we got our drinks in the afternoon. Our room had a record player, a fun touch, and the decor was cute and distinctive, with lots of nice details. We also liked that the fridge items were included in the booking price. We stayed a couple of nights, and this was one of our favorite hotels on the trip.

The part that made the biggest impression on us was the staff. At check-in, check-out, and whenever we headed out in the morning, we got warm, sincere smiles. Their kindness felt natural, never forced, and left us feeling welcome and relaxed. We were there for two nights, December 17 to December 19, 2025, with a Swiss couple visiting Korea for the first time. Good Ol’ Days Hotel ended up being one of the highlights of our Busan trip, and the stay felt much too short. I'll book it first whenever I'm back in Busan. Getting there from Busan Station was simple after our SRT ride from Seoul. We could have taken a taxi, but instead rode the subway one stop to Jungang-dong Station. Even with big suitcases, it was an easy trip. In Korea, buses often restrict suitcase size and numbers per passenger, so the subway felt more reliable for us. The hotel is in Jungang-dong, an easy walk from Jagalchi Market and Nampo-dong. We loved the creative feel of the neighborhood, with its many stylish little private cafés. The subway right in front of the hotel also makes it easy to get to Seomyeon, Haeundae, and other areas, so it works well as a base for exploring Busan. The lobby-floor café gives you one complimentary coffee per day, depending on how long you stay, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel is modern and cozy, and clearly put together with care. In our room, everything from the comfortable bed and bedding to the cute, well-chosen snacks felt intentional. Absolutely worth visiting if you're in Busan.

The Wi-Fi was fast, and the hotel is close to the subway. It's a great boutique place with amazing rooms, plenty of amenities, and really kind service. This will be my usual choice when I'm in Busan.

Breakfast left at the door was a real plus for us. It let us have a slow, private morning, and the rooms were quiet and completely private. Everything in the room felt carefully thought through and fit together beautifully. The place is spotless too, thanks to the housekeeping staff. The reception team were professional, warm, and helpful, and the owners and managers clearly have a strong vision. We loved spending two nights in the Good ol’days world. Good ol’days hotel is what hospitality should look like. I only write unsolicited reviews for local businesses, and other hotel managers should spend a night here to see how it's done. It was a highlight of our time in Busan. We don't like big chain resorts, and for us there's no reason to look further. Book without hesitation. No one asked me to write this, the place and its staff speak for themselves. PS We love postcards, journaling, letter-writing, and coffee.
