The view over all of Songdo Beach was amazing, and the staff were fairly nice and friendly. But the toilets really let us down. There were four of us in a suite, so privacy mattered. One toilet door wouldn't lock, had a visible gap, and wouldn't close properly. Water also leaked under it when showering, leaving the floor wet by the bowl and sink. The other toilet opened off the room behind transparent glass doors, with a bed right in front of it. It was hard to see how anyone could shower or use it while someone else was trying to sleep. I'm not sure what the designers had in mind, but that setup needs to go. The Wi-Fi was terrible too. That's why I'm rating the hotel three stars overall.

The room was spacious and cozy, with a really beautiful beach view. Having a CU and Starbucks downstairs was so convenient, and breakfast was great too. I think it starts at 7 a.m., if I remember right. A 10 out of 10 experience :)

The location worked well, with the cable car close by and a Starbucks and grocery store right downstairs. Getting to other parts of the city involves a bus transfer. If you're a foreigner, the online check-in and check-out could use a bit more attention.

I've stayed here several times over the last few years, and the problems are still there, if anything worse. The elevators are the biggest daily headache: around breakfast time, getting one up or down can take 15-20 minutes. Breakfast hasn't changed in three years, and the food is bland with very little choice. It's sausages with corn, pork as the only meat, and not much else. Want a fried egg? Good luck, the cook is often nowhere to be found. The Wi-Fi is incredibly awful as well. The room's air conditioning can't be aimed in another direction, so it blows right at your head while you're trying to sleep. That's uncomfortable and disruptive. This place has potential, but the service and facilities need urgent upgrades. Until then, I can't recommend staying here.
