Gwangalli Gray 193 Hotel

The Saturday drone show was a real highlight from our room with its great view. Beyond that, the place felt more like a serviced apartment than a hotel, and all the amenities cost extra, though we didn't need any. Not a complaint, just something future guests should know so expectations are clear :)

We only stayed one night and wished we'd booked more. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, and the staff were very kind and friendly. The window looked out wonderfully over Gwangalli bridge and the sea.

The ocean view room was worth it for the view of Gwangan Beach, especially at sunset. A CU convenience store right downstairs was handy for drinks and snacks. The price felt about right for what you get, as long as you don't expect too much. Getting around was less convenient since there isn't a subway station nearby, so we mostly took taxis. The bed was quite hard, and shower water splashed across the bathroom floor because there's little separation between wet and dry areas. I also found the strong artificial perfume smell in the lift and lobby unpleasant. At night, motorcycles downstairs were noisy, which may bother light sleepers. We thought the room included the LG clothing care machine shown in the photos, but it was actually shared in a common area outside the room.

The shower had good water temperature and pressure, and the location is fairly central. Still, in my opinion the savings weren't worth the cost. It was confusing to find the hotel in a building with several hotels. Unless you're in an ocean view room, there isn't a real window, which feels depressing. The room was noisy and smelled bad, with sounds and sewage odors from the back alley and bathroom vents coming in. They tried to cover the smell with air fresheners and an air purifier. The beds were very stiff. An extra blanket cost $20, and the one we got was too small. Room cleaning only happens if you ask, and they tell you to hide your belongings. They also replace just one large towel each day. Before checking out, I'll need a very long shower to get rid of the room's stench.
