Haydn Hotel

The location is very central, with the subway station a four-minute walk away. My room was really big and clean, with all the amenities I could need, and they replaced the free drinking water every day. Check-in was a little difficult because the staff didn't speak any English, but since I'd prepaid, it was okay.

The room wasn't clean. I even spotted a condom pouch near the bed, though there was no condom in it. On top of that, the light kept flickering and was uncomfortable to look at, and complaining didn't get it fixed. They wanted 40,000 won per night for an extra comforter, which felt like ripping off tourists. I wouldn't come back.

The noise came through the walls constantly. It sounded like karaoke was going on downstairs, and moving to another room didn't make any difference. I could also easily hear sounds from the neighboring room.

The hallway and elevators smelled bad, and the elevator let anyone reach the floors without access control, which felt dangerous. I stayed in room 1106 and could hear the elevator and singing. The room was noisy, with very poor soundproofing, and there may be a karaoke bar downstairs. It was cold in the room, with no heating or underfloor heat. We asked the front desk for an electric heater, but they didn't provide one. The bathroom water pressure was extremely weak, so showers felt very cold. There were five of us but only one large towel; every day we had to call to ask for four more.
