Home Hotel

There are loads of restaurants and bars around, and the hotel’s location is great. The room was really clean, though the bed was very firm, which seems common in Asia. It has potential to be great with just a few improvements.

The location worked really well, close to the metro, shopping, restaurants, and bars. Our rooms were big and clean, and the bathrooms were awesome. Reception was great and could speak English and help us, as could the breakfast staff. We also loved the coffee and candies in the lobby. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable by Western standards, but we’re used to that from traveling in Asia. We really enjoyed our stay, especially for the value.

There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby, and the metro makes it easy to get to most places. Finding the hotel is fairly easy if you do a little research. Take metro exit 6, then it’s a 5-minute walk. The reception is small and basic, but the staff are friendly. Rooms are nice and spacious, with everything provided. The sink is beside the bed rather than in the bathroom, though you get used to it. There’s free coffee at reception and complimentary soft drinks in the room every day.

I had to get out of there as fast as I could. The room smelled strongly of what seemed to be industrial-strength insecticide, and after a few minutes I had a headache and sore throat. This felt like a serious health hazard. It didn't seem like a proper tourist hotel, more like a defunct love hotel. I booked through booking com and they ignored my messages asking them to do something about it. I'm cancelling my account.
