Hotel Almond Busan Station

My room was ready before the official check-in time, and there was plenty of room to open two large suitcases on the floor without feeling crowded. The hotel is in a very convenient spot. The spa tub didn’t fully work. I also found the switches confusing: one central panel controls lights in different parts of the room, but the buttons aren’t labeled clearly.

Busan Station is right nearby, which is a great location. The room I was first given had a leaking sink, but the staff responded quickly and moved me to another one. That room smelled of sewage, probably coming from the toilet vent. The mattress hurt to sleep on because it was so hard, and the bedding looked clean but made me itch a lot. There’s a free washer and dryer on the rooftop. Google showed the hotel as participating in a tax refund, but when I checked out I was told that wasn’t the case. The room also looked nothing like the pictures online.

The Superior Double Room was nice, and the breakfast was basic but did the job. The hotel was very clean and close to Busan Station. Still, it seems to be near a so-called "red light district," and small photos of girls were all over the ground by the entrance. Some had ended up inside the hotel, and staff didn’t pick them up. It gave the place an unpleasant look.

Check-in was the quickest I’ve ever had, and we met some lovely guests at the hotel. The rooms were really nice, and I loved the shower and baths. It’s a perfect spot for exploring Busan on foot, with food, drinks, and local culture all around. I’d especially recommend it if you’re taking a boat from the port.
