Hotel Ara

I spend most of my trip out exploring, usually leaving early and coming back late, so I mainly need somewhere to sleep and shower. For that, this is one of the cheapest places around Busan Haeundae, with your own room and bathroom if you don’t need a beach view. It’s about a 7-minute walk to the beach, and the room had space for two people and their luggage. Essentials were provided, even condoms, and the floor was clean enough that I walked barefoot without a problem. The soundproofing needs work. Footsteps and hallway noise came through as if they were right beside me. Someone upstairs kept walking back and forth in heels or boots on the wooden floor, waking me several times in the middle of the night. I really don’t understand who walks around on hard soles at that hour. There was also a cockroach, which I hate even more than spiders. No housekeeping came during my 4 nights, and nobody took the rubbish. Maybe you have to ask reception, since there was nothing to hang on the door to request it. Bring earplugs.
